Nikhil Nayyar

Nikhil Nayyar has a diverse range of work experience. Nikhil started their career as a Front of House Staff at the Penn State Center for Performing Arts in 2017, where they gained experience in customer service and problem-solving. Nikhil then worked as a Front Desk Agent at The Hotel Hershey in 2018, adapting quickly to meet guests' needs in a busy environment. In 2019, Nikhil co-founded LionPad, a web application developed for the Nittany AI Challenge, providing comprehensive housing tools for Penn State students. That same year, they also worked as a Hardware Verification Intern at IBM, utilizing C++, IBM verification libraries, and object-oriented coding techniques to verify digital designs. In 2020, Nikhil joined Appian Corporation as an Associate Consultant, contributing to the team's efforts and analyzing functional requirements for various projects, including maintaining a legacy system. Nikhil then worked as a Software Engineer, Validation at Starry, Inc. in 2022, where they automated testing for RF Base Station/Receiver systems and characterized system performance. In 2022, they also served as a Tutor at Wyzant, sharing their knowledge and assisting students. Currently, Nikhil is a Junior Firmware Engineer at Bevi, starting in 2023.

Nikhil Nayyar attended Penn State University from 2016 to 2020, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
