Hans Van Sas has over three decades of experience in engineering and production management, currently serving as a Senior Engineer at BEWI RAW since August 1990. Prior to this role, Hans held the position of Production Manager for Extrusion and BIOFOAM at Synbra Technology bv from August 1990 until March 2024. Earlier career experiences include working as a Production Engineer at SABIC Innovative Plastics from May 1988 to August 1990, and at Philips Dupont Magnetics from August 1984 to May 1988. Hans Van Sas earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Avans University of Applied Sciences, completing the program between 1979 and 1984.

BEWI RAW is part of Norwegian BEWI ASA. In Etten-Leur and Porvoo the development and production of EPS and cellular foam takes place. Then these products will be sold as raw materials to subsidiary companies within the Group as well as external customers, they process these materials into special packages or insulation materials. In addition, BEWI RAW BV focuses on large-scale production of fully compostable BioFoam® and non-flammable Xire®.
