Dr. Richard Schwen has over 35 years’ experience as a regulatory and toxicology expert and senior manager in the pharmaceutical industry. Prior management experience includes Vice President positions at Kendle International, PAREXEL International, and Ausio Pharmaceuticals in the areas of regulatory affairs, safety and compliance. Prior technical experience includes extensive hands-on roles in toxicology, drug discovery, and regulatory affairs at both Procter and Gamble Pharmaceuticals and Ausio Pharmaceuticals, LLC. Dr. Schwen has an undergraduate degree in chemistry, a PhD in pharmacology, and has obtained board certifications in both toxicology and regulatory affairs. He has authored multiple scientific publications, holds several patents for new health care products, and teaches as an Adjunct Professor at the University Of Cincinnati College Of Pharmacy. Previous board positions include the Cincinnati Board of Health (past chair), and the Ohio Association of Boards of Health.
