We are seeking a Scientist/Senior Scientist with deep expertise in neuroscience and physiology to contribute to our groundbreaking R&D efforts.
Role Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Scientist/Senior Scientist to lead key research initiatives within our neuroscience and physiology programs. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of human brain physiology, medical neuroscience, and related experimental techniques. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring physical presence in our state-of-the-art facilities to conduct hands-on research and collaborate directly with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and design experimental studies focused on brain physiology, neurochemistry, and CNS function.
- Conduct and oversee experiments using the BrainEx platform, including perfusion and molecular data collection.
- Analyze physiological data related to brain tissue activity, molecular markers, and neural pathways.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI/ML specialists, pharmacologists, and bioinformaticians, to integrate physiological insights into drug discovery workflows.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant neuroscience literature and emerging research in brain physiology and medical neuroscience.
- Present research findings to internal teams and external stakeholders, including partners and collaborators.
- Work closely with the drug discovery and business development teams to translate research into potential therapeutic targets.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in Neuroscience, Physiology, Medical Science, or related fields.
- 3+ years of postdoctoral or industry experience in neuroscience or brain physiology research.
- Proven track record of working with brain models, including hands-on experience with perfusion techniques, molecular assays, and histological analysis.
- Strong understanding of CNS disorders, including neurodegeneration, brain metabolism, neuroanatomy, and neurophysiology.
- Experience with cross-functional collaboration, especially between experimental and computational research teams.
- Strong data analysis skills; Python-based
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, for presenting complex scientific concepts.
- Ability to work independently and lead projects from conception through to execution.
- This position requires full-time, on-site work at our laboratory facilities.
