Yaara Ber

Yaara Ber has a diverse work experience in the field of clinical research and genetics. Yaara is currently working as a Clinical Project Manager at Beyond Air, where they are responsible for managing clinical projects.

Prior to their current role, Yaara worked at Rabin Medical Center from 2015 to 2022. During their time there, they held the positions of Clinical Trial Manager and Clinical Research Coordinator. As a Clinical Trial Manager, they managed clinical trials in the Urology Research Unit, overseeing a team of clinical trial coordinators and handling multiple trials simultaneously. Yaara was involved in designing, writing, and submitting clinical research protocols initiated by the principle investigator. As a Clinical Research Coordinator, they coordinated clinical studies in the field of Urology and Oncology, and submitted new research studies to the ethics committee.

Before joining Rabin Medical Center, Yaara worked at the Weizmann Institute of Science from 2008 to 2014 as a PHD Student in the Department of Molecular Genetics. Yaara'sresearch focused on identifying DAPK2 as a novel member and regulator of the cancer-related complex, mTORC1. Yaara also collaborated and consulted with bioinformatics labs on modeling cell death pathways, participated in grant writing, and supervised and trained M.Sc. students.

Prior to their PHD, Yaara worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Immunology at the Weizmann Institute of Science from April 2005 to September 2005. In this role, they studied the effect of neurotransmitters on the migration of human hematopoietic stem cells to the bone marrow.

Yaara Ber completed their education in the field of biology and genetics. Yaara obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Bioinformatics from Tel Aviv University in the years 2001 to 2005. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology at the Weizmann Institute of Science, from 2005 to 2008. Yaara continued their education at the same institute and completed their Ph.D. in Genetics and Molecular Biology from 2008 to 2014.
