Irene Verins

Irene Verins is a seasoned professional in mental wellbeing and public health, currently serving as a Senior Advisor for Strategy and Advisory at Beyond Blue since September 2021. Irene also holds the position of Wellness and Prevention Lead at Beyond Blue. Previously, Irene managed multiple portfolio areas at the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation (VicHealth) from 2006 to July 2021, focusing on resilience building, workplace health, and the prevention of violence and discrimination. Irene has a robust background in program management, strategic policy development, and partnership development, having acted as Executive and overseen a team of 32 with a budget of $18 million. Earlier career experience includes roles in project management and evaluation for youth drug and alcohol outreach services. Irene's educational background includes degrees in Criminology from the University of Melbourne and a Masters in Public Health, alongside a Diploma of Education in Teaching English as a Second Language.
