Samantha Sands

Project Manager at Beyond Campus Innovations

Samantha Sands has a wealth of experience in the field of education and outreach. Samantha began their career in 2004 as an Education Assistant/Volunteer Coordinator at the University of Colorado Museum. In 2006, they moved to the Paleontological Research Institution and its Museum of the Earth, where they held the positions of Director of Public Programs and Education Programs Manager. From 2009 to 2010, they were the Volunteer and Program Coordinator at the Molly Brown House Museum. Samantha then joined the Denver Museum of Nature & Science as a Program Specialist from 2010 to 2019, where they developed, delivered, coordinated, and promoted high quality earth and space science educational programs. In 2019, they became the Meetings Director at ESIP (Earth Science Information Partners). In 2020, they became an Independent Contractor and Project Coordinator at Beyond Campus Innovations, as well as Owner/Operator and dessert maker at Buyse's Bakery. Samantha is currently the Director of Outreach and Engagement at the Denver Metro Regional Science and Engineering Fair, and will become a Project Manager at Beyond Campus Innovations in 2022.

Samantha Sands obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Museum Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2006, with a field of study in Museology/Museum Studies. Samantha had previously obtained a BS in Environmental Geology from the University of Michigan between 2000 and 2004.
