Catherine Clennett McIpd

Catherine Clennett MCIPD has a comprehensive work experience in various HR and leadership roles. Catherine currently serves as the Chairperson for the Redcar Town Deal Board. Previously, they worked at Beyond Housing UK where they held positions as the Director of People and Head of HR. In these roles, they were responsible for the development and delivery of HR services, employee engagement initiatives, policy implementation, and training and development. Before that, Catherine worked at Northumbria University as an Associate Lecturer. Catherine also gained valuable experience as the Head of HR at Lead Employer Trust, where they managed the employment of junior doctors in training across multiple NHS Hospital Trusts. Catherine's earlier experience includes roles such as Director of Personnel and Student Support at Cleveland College of Art & Design, Personnel Manager at the same institution, Asst Personnel Manager at University Hospitals of North Staffordshire NHS Trust, and Personnel Assistant at North Tees Health NHS Trust. Overall, Catherine has a strong background in HR leadership and has successfully managed various HR functions throughout their career.

Catherine Clennett MCIPD has a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Liverpool, obtained between 1989 and 1992. Catherine also holds a Certificate in Management from Teesside University, obtained in 1996-1997. Catherine has completed various CIPD exams, including Employee Relations and Employee Resourcing at North Staffordshire University in 1998-1999, as well as Core P&D, Employee Development, and Employee Reward at Teesside University in 1997-1998. Catherine has a Professional Trainer Certificate from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, obtained before 2006. Catherine completed a Master's Degree in Human Resource Management from Teesside University, graduating in 2014. Catherine has also completed a Safety for Senior Executives course from IOSH in 2015. Additionally, Catherine holds the MCIPD certification from CIPD.
