Senior Software Engineer at Beyond Identity

Brian Bartman, PhD has a diverse work experience in software engineering and development. Brian is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Beyond Identity since July 2021. Previously, they served as a Complier and Programming Language Developer at Lock3 Software from February 2020 to July 2021.

Before that, Brian worked at iLambda as a Senior Software Engineer from March 2017 to February 2020. In this role, they specialized in architecting, designing, and implementing high availability REST servers that provided time-sensitive and personalized item recommendations to clients.

Brian also had valuable experience as a Language Engineer at GraphSQL, where they developed a compile-able expression language that improved execution time of graph queries. This project was funded by the National Science Foundation CRI CNS 13-05292. Brian'srole lasted from May 2015 to January 2016.

Prior to that, Brian worked as a Software Developer at the Department of Computer Science at Kent State University. Brian'sresponsibilities involved extending the srcML infrastructure to support additional programming languages, such as Java, Python, and C#. Brian was employed there from May 2014 to May 2015.

In 2010, Brian participated in the Google Summer of Code program as a Developer. Brian worked on developing a software engineering library that facilitated inspection of integers or bytes and condensed packed structures. Brian'swork included tasks like pointer stuffing, boolean flag embedding, and handling different endiannessed encoding. Brian was part of this program from June 2010 to August 2010.

Brian Bartman, PhD received their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Kent State University in 2011. Brian then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Science with a focus on Software Engineering, which they completed in 2013 also at Kent State University. Brian continued their education at Kent State and obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Computer Science with a specialization in Software Engineering in 2017.
