Ford Hurley has a diverse work experience spanning over 10 years. Ford started their career as a Lab Assistant at UC Santa Cruz, where they conducted experiments and developed simulations for the Large Hadron Collider. Ford then became an Assistant Specialist at the Santa Cruz Institute for Particle Physics, managing a team and coordinating research.
Afterward, Ford worked as a Senior Research Assistant at Loma Linda University, focusing on designing and evaluating detector hardware and data acquisition systems for proton computed tomography. Ford also supported other projects related to radiation treatment and radiation tolerance/protection.
Ford then transitioned to Gracious Eloise as a Software Engineer, where they started as a junior backend engineer and later became a full stack engineer. Ford developed a mobile chat app called ScribbleChat using modern 3D graphics for personalized communication.
Following this, Ford joined Uplevel Security as a Software Engineer, contributing to software development until February 2019. Their current position is at Beyond Identity, where they hold the role of Staff Software Engineer from June 2019 onwards.
Ford Hurley attended the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2003 to 2007. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics.
