Alyssa Moinet

Alyssa Moinet is an Immigration Attorney at Beyond Legal Aid, a position held since September 2023. Previously, Alyssa served as a student in the Asylum and Immigration Law Clinic at DePaul University College of Law from August 2022 to July 2023, and worked as an Order of Protection Legal Intern at Ascend Justice from May 2022 to December 2022. In 2021, Alyssa gained experience as a Law Clerk at the Office of the Cook County Public Guardian Domestic Relations Division, where responsibilities included drafting legal documents and interviewing clients. Alyssa also served as a VISTA Leader for The Alliance from September 2019 to September 2020, leading recruitment efforts and professional development for AmeriCorps members. Additional experience includes working as a Youth Resource Development VISTA at the Michigan Community Service Commission, focusing on mentoring initiatives. Alyssa's educational background includes a JD from DePaul University College of Law (2023) and a BA from Michigan State University in Anthropology and Peace and Justice Studies (2018).
