Technical Designer at Beyond Yoga

Stephanie Surtida has a strong background in technical design, with extensive experience in various apparel companies. Stephanie currently works as a Technical Designer at Beyond Yoga, starting in 2023. Previously, they held the same position at Forever 21 from August 2022 to May 2023, where they led the technical aspects of the Kids categories and managed the fitting process.

From 2017 to 2022, Stephanie worked as a Technical Designer at GUESS?, Inc. Here, they played a key role in developing a large number of SKUs for the Men's and Women's categories, applying fit changes based on customer feedback, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product fit.

Prior to that, Stephanie worked as an Associate Technical Designer at Frilly, Inc. from March 2016 to December 2016. Stephanie developed tech packs, communicated with overseas factories for fit and quality control, and assisted in fittings.

Stephanie also gained experience as an Associate Technical Designer at Kellwood Company from July 2015 to January 2016, where they prepared production samples, coordinated fit schedules, and assisted with drafting fit comments.

Additionally, they worked as an Associate Technical Designer at Unger Fabrik LLC from September 2014 to July 2015, supporting the Tech Designer during fit sessions, preparing fit comments, and assisting with the Target collection.

Stephanie began their career as an Associate Technical Design at True Religion Brand Jeans from February 2014 to August 2014. Stephanie created technical packages, illustrated design CAD sketches, and assisted in fittings.

Other positions Stephanie held include a brief stint as a Fashion Illustrator at Nasty Gal in October 2013 and an Associate Technical Designer at Color Image Apparel from October 2010 to March 2013. In these roles, they created CAD illustrations, established guidebooks, and assisted with quality control.

Stephanie also worked as an Assistant Designer at Catwalk to Sidewalk from December 2010 to May 2011, where they created CAD sketches, managed fabric orders, and fit modeled for various clothing lines.

Stephanie Surtida attended the FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising from 2006 to 2008, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Fashion Design.
