Julian Flosbach has a diverse work experience in various sectors. Julian began their career as an intern at Caritas international in 2010 and then went on to intern at Women's World Banking in 2013. In the same year, they also started working as a Student Analyst at DEG, where they later became an intern at the Regional Office West Africa.
In 2015, Julian joined Rautenberg & Company GmbH as an Associate, providing financial advisory services to financial sponsors, portfolio companies, and corporates. Julian worked in their Strategy & Value Creation Advisory business and supported clients in strategy formulation, execution, growth, and digitization.
At Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, Julian served as a Tutor for "Financial modelling" for a short period in 2017.
Julian then moved on to FairMoney in 2019, where they held the position of General Manager Nigeria. FairMoney is a mobile banking application that provides instant credit scoring and loans to individuals and small businesses in emerging markets.
Currently, Julian is the CEO/Co-Founder of BFREE, a tech-driven ethical credit manager for emerging markets. BFREE manages a large customer base in Nigeria and Kenya and is expanding to other African countries.
Julian Flosbach completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in International Business from Cologne University of Applied Sciences, starting in 2010 and finishing in 2015. In 2012, they had a semester abroad at Universidad del Pacífico in Peru. From 2015 to 2017, Julian pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in International Business with a regional specialization in Africa at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. In 2017, they participated in a semester abroad at Stellenbosch Business School in South Africa as part of their education, where they completed half of an MBA program.
