Maurice Butler, PhD is currently the SVP, Group Medical Director at BGB Group since May 2009. Maurice oversees the medical and scientific strategy for various therapeutic areas such as gastroenterology, hematology/rare disease, immuno-oncology, infectious disease, and neurology. Prior to their current role, Maurice held positions as Vice President, Medical Director and Associate Medical Director, where Maurice provided strategic oversight for pharmaceutical brand communications across different healthcare audiences and markets. Maurice's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Genetics from Harvard Medical School and a B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
