Ellen Jansen

Ellen Jansen is currently a Junior Geological Engineer at BGC Engineering Inc., a position held since August 2022, following a brief tenure as a Junior Geological Engineering Intern with the same company in 2021. Jansen has experience as an Environmental and Mineral Resource Co-op Ambassador at Dalhousie University, as well as serving as Vice President Finance for the Dalhousie Undergraduate Engineering Society. Previous roles also include Marine Geology Research Assistant at Natural Resources Canada and Water Resources Engineering Assistant at Environment and Climate Change Canada. Jansen's early career includes work as a Farm Labourer at S&V Jansen Farms and as a Teaching Assistant for the St. FX Chemistry Department. Jansen earned a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from Dalhousie University and a Diploma in Engineering, also in Environmental Engineering, from St. Francis Xavier University.
