Jean Kugel

Jean Kugel, P.E., is a seasoned Senior Geotechnical Engineer currently with BGC Engineering Inc. since September 2023. Previously, Jean served as an Adjunct Professor at the Colorado School of Mines for a brief period in early 2024, and as Assistant Vice President at Golder from January 2011 to September 2023, where Jean advanced from Staff Engineer to Senior Geotechnical Engineer. Prior experience includes a GK-12 Fellowship with the National Science Foundation and research assistance at the University of Colorado at Boulder, focusing on hydraulic flow modeling through unsaturated soils. Jean began their career as an intern and staff engineer at ENGEO. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Science in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder.
