Katherine Johnston

Katherine Johnston, P.Eng., P.Geo. is a highly experienced Principal Geological Engineer and Chief Strategy Officer at BGC Engineering Inc., where responsibilities include the development and execution of corporate strategy aimed at achieving 2025 goals. With a strong background in geohazard management, Katherine leads a pipeline team focused on overseeing over 340,000 km of operating pipelines across North and South America, while also supporting new construction projects. Previous experience encompasses roles as Hydrogeologist at EBA Engineering Consultants Ltd. and Piteau Associates Engineering, specializing in groundwater characterization, contaminated site assessments, and geoexchange systems. Katherine holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geological/Geophysical Engineering from The University of British Columbia.
