Kathryn Franklin, MEERL, P.Eng., has extensive experience as a Geological Engineer at BGC Engineering Inc. since September 2012, where responsibilities have included site investigations, terrain evaluations, and tailings dam projects for mining clients, covering all project phases from feasibility to final design and land transition. In addition, support was provided to an expert witness in a litigation case. Prior roles included serving as Climate Change Lead and Geotechnical Consultant during a summer internship at BGC Engineering, where Kathryn gained practical experience in geotechnical consultations for projects involving the City of Edmonton and Syncrude. Earlier experience includes a summer position at Queen's University as a Historical Airphoto Interpreter and 3D Modeller, contributing to the creation of an ArcGIS and airphoto database for educational purposes. Kathryn holds a Master of Earth and Energy Resources Leadership from Queen's University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geological Engineering from the same institution.
