Brett Stephens is a finance professional with extensive experience in the European energy market. Currently serving as Co-desk Head of European Energy at BGC Group since September 2025, Brett is responsible for driving strategic business growth across established and new markets, with a focus on European electricity and spark spread cross commodity broking involving gas emissions and coal. Prior to this role, Brett worked at Tullett Prebon from January 2008 to October 2025, initially as a Broker specializing in European electricity markets and later as a Senior Broker within the same sector. Brett holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Otago, obtained from 2005 to 2007.
