Yang Heng is a Scientist at BGI Genomics since April 2021, focusing on the development of multiomics solutions within the spatial transcriptomics workflow. Prior experience includes serving as a Researcher PhD Student at UMCG from November 2016 to February 2021, where Yang Heng's PhD thesis concentrated on innate immune memory and transcriptional profiling of microglia, involving expertise in bulk RNA-seq, single-cell RNA-seq, and ATAC-seq. Yang Heng earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Neuroscience from the University of Groningen in 2021, a Master's degree in Pharmacology from Peking Union Medical College in 2016, and a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy in Chinese Medicine from Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2013.
