James Whalen

Principal Engineer at BGI

James Whalen has a diverse work experience starting from 2003, when they worked as an intern at Ed-Tech Service, Inc. In 2004, they became a Lead Programmer at XileRO - Online Game Server, where they played a key role in expanding the online community and enhancing the end-user experience by implementing custom features and increasing security measures. From 2007 to 2008, James worked as a Tutor at Stark State College. In 2008, they joined WARDJet as a Senior Software Engineer and became a key member of the development team, leading the design and release of an industry-leading HMI and creating user-friendly CAD/CAM software. James also contributed to architecting critical systems and features across all software products. In 2020, James joined Meyer Tool, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked until 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Engineer at BGI, LLC.

James Whalen attended DigiPen Institute of Technology from 2003 to 2006, where they pursued Real-Time Interactive Simulation Programming. Subsequently, they enrolled at Stark State College from 2006 to 2008, where they obtained an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Science and Engineering.
