Operations Support at BGI

Rich Olsen has had a diverse range of work experiences. Rich most recently worked at BGI, LLC as an Operations Support providing full-time on-site B-1 air crew training support in operating Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) systems/networks. Prior to that, they worked at TRU Simulation + Training and PLEXSYS Interface Products, Inc. in a similar role. Rich also has extensive experience in the United States Air Force, where they served as an Assistant Director of Operations, Range Manager, Chief of Mission Employment Center, Deputy Operations Group Commander, Commander, and Chief of National Defense Review. Rich has overseen various programs, managed logistics support contracts, and led teams in achieving success in different projects. Rich also has experience in airport operations and security management at Rapid City Regional Airport. Overall, Rich Olsen has a strong background in operations and training support, with a focus on mission operations and system analysis.

Rich Olsen's education history includes multiple degrees and certificates. In 1975, they attended Texas A&M University and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering, which they completed in 1979. Later on, from 1992 to 1994, they pursued a Master of Aeronautical Science degree in Aviation/Aerospace Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Additionally, Rich Olsen has participated in various professional military education programs. In an unspecified time, they completed a diploma in Foundations of Strategy, International Security Studies, Warfighting, and Joint Strategic Leadership from the Air War College (Extension Course). Rich also received a diploma in Joint Professional Military Education, Phase II from the Joint Forces Staff College in 2002.
