Tom Ritzman

Vice President of Corporate Technology at BGI

Tom Ritzman has a extensive work experience spanning over several companies in various roles.

Tom started their career in 1994 at Raytheon Missile Systems as a Member Technical Staff, and then worked at Ardac as a Software Engineer from 1996 to 1997. After that, they joined Lockheed Martin as an Embedded Software Engineer from 1997 to 1998.

In 1998, they moved to Boeing as a Senior Engineer (Contractor) until 2001. Tom then joined Lockheed Martin again in 2001 and worked on the F-16 Block 60 program in roles such as senior software developer, senior systems engineer, integration engineer, and delivery site lead until 2006.

Following that, they worked at BGI, LLC in various roles starting as the Director of Engineering from 2005 to 2017, then as the Executive Director, Engineering and Technology from 2017 to 2019, and currently as the Vice President of Corporate Technology from 2019 onward. In their role as Vice President, they are responsible for understanding military aviation systems and identifying technical solutions to improve performance. Tom also focuses on developing intellectual property, pursuing new competencies, and ensuring compliance with cyber security regulations.

Tom Ritzman attended The University of Akron from 1988 to 1994, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
