Janani Swaminathan

Janani Swaminathan is an accomplished professional in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Vice President and Head of Portfolio and Project Management at Bharat Serums and Vaccines Limited since September 2021. With a strong track record, Janani has successfully led the launch of 39 products in India, contributing approximately 10% to revenue and expanding international portfolio through over 80 filings and 110 approvals. Prior roles include Deputy General Manager at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, where Janani oversaw the ideation of over 150 products generating around $24M in key international markets, and Group Product Manager at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, achieving significant growth in the Pediatric Portfolio. Janani holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology from Trinity College Dublin and completed an Executive Program in Leadership and Management at the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
