Hemant Mongia

Hemant Mongia has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Hemant is currently working at BharatPe as the Vice President of Engineering since October 2023. Prior to that, they held the role of AVP Engineering at BharatPe from April 2022 to September 2023, where they were responsible for leading the Payment Pod and Merchant Pod teams. Hemant also played a key role in redesigning the payment systems and supporting internal PG integration.

Before joining BharatPe, Hemant worked at Thales Digital Identity and Security (ex Gemalto) as a Senior Technical Lead from April 2017 to September 2020. During their time there, they made significant contributions in product features and played a crucial role in making the product cloud ready. Hemant also carried out security assessments and implemented security features in the product.

Hemant also has experience as an Entrepreneur, having started their own venture called Astra Sales. Hemant developed a multi-tenant SaaS product specifically designed for FMCG companies, which helped track and monitor field sales staff and streamline sales operations.

Prior to their entrepreneurial venture, Hemant worked at GEMALTO DIGITAL SECURITY PRIVATE LIMITED as a Principal Engineer from April 2014 to March 2017. Hemant provided tech leadership and was involved in full-stack development, as well as implementing impactful features.

Earlier in their career, Hemant worked at Safenet Infotech Private Limited. (A Gemalto Subsidiary) as a Senior Software Developer from March 2012 to March 2014. Hemant was responsible for fulfilling usage logging for billing purposes and solving the Y2038 problem.

Hemant began their career at Tech Mahindra, where they held various roles including Team Lead, Senior Software Developer, and Software Developer from January 2007 to March 2012. Hemant worked on projects related to T-Mobile Billing/Rating in Germany and End-to-End Monitoring System (E2E) for AT&T in the USA.

Hemant Mongia completed their Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Instrumentation from APJ College of Engineering from 2002 to 2006. Prior to that, they completed their 12th grade education in Physics, Maths, and Chemistry from Army Public School, from 2000 to 2002.
