Irving Barrera

Irving Barrera's work experience is as follows:

1. Medical Interpreter at Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program (September 2021 - present): As the first in-person medical interpreter, Irving is responsible for improving the quality of care for patients with limited English proficiency. Irving designs training programs, records patient interactions, and acts as a cultural broker between patients and providers.

2. Research Associate at Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard (August 2020 - present): Irving is currently working as a Research Associate II. Irving previously worked as a Research Associate I. Further details about their roles and responsibilities are not provided.

3. Undergraduate Researcher and Teaching Assistant at Earlham College (August 2017 - July 2020): Irving conducted research presentations and served as a Teaching Assistant. Irving Barrera began their education journey by attending UWC-USA from 2014 to 2016, where they obtained an International Baccalaureate degree. Following this, from 2016 to 2020, they pursued further studies at Earlham College, earning a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry. Irving then went on to Harvard Medical School, starting in 2023 and expected to complete in 2027, where they are currently an MD Candidate focused on Medicine.

In addition to their academic endeavors, Irving Barrera has also obtained relevant certifications. In May 2013, they received a Certificate to Teach English as a Foreign Language (CTEFL) from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Later, in October 2021, they completed a Healthcare Interpreter Course at The University of Memphis.
