Michael Mayer

Michael Mayer has extensive work experience in the healthcare and research fields. Michael started their career in 2017 as a Research Assistant at Harvard University, where they worked on the Human Connectome Project, focusing on adolescent psychology and neural development under the guidance of Dr. Leah Somerville. In 2019, they joined the Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program as a Clinic and Outreach Case Manager, providing assistance and support to homeless individuals. Michael later took on the role of COVID-19 Case Manager/Patient Coordinator, contributing to the organization's response to the pandemic. In 2020, they became a Housing Specialist, assisting individuals in securing stable housing. Currently, Michael is the Housing Program Manager at the Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Additionally, since 2019, they have been working as a Research Assistant at Boston University School of Medicine, leading a qualitative research study on the impact of encampment sweeps and harm reduction-focused transitional housing under the supervision of Dr. Avik Chatterjee, MD, MPH.

Michael Mayer attended Pine View School from 2000 to 2013. Michael then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Neuroscience at Dartmouth College from 2014 to 2017.
