About Bhent Cameroon SA

Bhent Cameroon SA is a new legal entity currently being incorporated by Bhent, Inc., a US-based tech and finance group. It will serve as the company’s financial and fintech branch in Cameroon, focusing on banking, microfinance, and digital solutions.

The entity is in the process of securing a Category 3 Microfinance Institution license, and appointing a CEO is a critical step in completing its legal registration and launching operations.

Mission

The CEO will lead the creation, structuring, and expansion of Bhent Cameroon SA. Key responsibilities include:

• Driving the microfinance and fintech strategy
• Overseeing product launches (Bhent Pay, Bhent Bank, prepaid cards)
• Ensuring regulatory compliance and license acquisition
• Leading partnerships with banks, regulators, and fintech players
• Building and managing high-performance teams
• Representing Bhent Cameroon before institutions, investors, and partners

Profile

Education and Experience:

• Master's degree in Finance, Business, Strategy, Engineering, or similar
• 7–10 years of executive experience in fintech, banking, or microfinance
• Previous experience in regulated financial environments in Africa

Required Skills:

• Fluent in English and French (spoken and written)
• Deep understanding of local and regional financial regulations (COBAC, BEAC, MINFI)
• Visionary leadership, strategic execution, innovation mindset
• Strong communication, representation, and negotiation skills

Terms of Employment

• Location: Douala (primary), with regular travel to Yaoundé
• Contract: CDI with 6-month probation period
• Legal status: Executive representative of the company (CEO)
• Work environment: International outlook, startup culture, full-time

Compensation & Benefits

• Gross monthly salary: 2,500,000 to 4,500,000 XAF, depending on profile

L’entité est en cours de demande d’un agrément d’Établissement de Microfinance (EMF) de Catégorie 3, et la nomination de sa Directrice Générale est une étape obligatoire pour finaliser l’enregistrement et démarrer les opérations.

Mission

La Directrice Générale pilotera la structuration et le développement de Bhent Cameroon SA. Les responsabilités incluent :

• Déploiement stratégique de la microfinance et des fintech
• Supervision de Bhent Pay, Bhent Bank et des cartes prépayées
• Conformité réglementaire et obtention d’agréments
• Création de partenariats avec les institutions financières, autorités et opérateurs
• Gestion d’équipes performantes
• Représentation auprès des investisseurs, régulateurs et partenaires

Profil

Formation et expérience :

• Bac+5 en Finance, Gestion, Stratégie, Ingénierie ou équivalent
• 7 à 10 ans d’expérience dans un poste de direction en banque, fintech ou microfinance
• Expérience confirmée en Afrique dans un cadre réglementé

Compétences requises :

• Maîtrise parfaite du français et de l’anglais, à l’écrit comme à l’oral
• Bonne connaissance des réglementations financières locales et régionales (COBAC, BEAC, MINFI)
• Leadership visionnaire, capacité d’exécution stratégique, esprit d’innovation
• Excellente communication, aptitude à la négociation et à la représentation

Conditions de travail

• Lieu : Douala (principal), avec déplacements fréquents à Yaoundé
• Contrat : CDI avec période d’essai de 6 mois
• Statut légal : Représentante légale inscrite au RCCM
• Environnement : Culture startup, vision internationale, plein temps

Rémunération & avantages

• Salaire brut mensuel : entre 2 500 000 et 4 500 000 FCFA, selon expérience
