Thomas Fischer

Thomas Fischer is the current Chief Operating Officer at BHF-Bank Aktiengesellschaft. Prior to this, they served as a member of the Board of Managing Directors and Chief Operating Officer at ODDO BHF from April 2017 to May 2022. From May 2014 to March 2017, they were the Managing Director and Global Head of Procurement & Vendor Management at UBS. Fischer has also worked as a Divisional Board Member (Bereichsvorstand) and Head of Group Organisation & Security at Commerzbank AG from July 2005 to April 2014. Their earlier experience includes working as a Principal at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) from August 1994 to June 2005.

At BCG, Fischer worked predominantly in financial services for all types of banks including big universal banks, state banks, regional banks, specialised commercial banks. Thomas has covered a variety of topics including strategy, turnaround, PMI, IT, organizational design and process reengineering. Some of their key achievements include being selected from a group of European candidates to transfer to BCG’s Budapest Office in order to build up the financial service (FS) practice in Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia in 2003 and being a member of BCG’s Financial Services and IT practices as well as the Recruiting Team.

Thomas Fischer has an MBA from INSEAD and a Diploma/Master from Technische Universität Darmstadt in Business Administration and Computer Science.
