Ashley Ahrens

Ashley Ahrens is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental management and project leadership, currently serving as Principal Port Assurance at BHP since April 2020. In this capacity, Ashley leads assurance for permitting and operational readiness activities for the potash export facility at Westshore Terminals. Previously, Ashley held the position of Principal Environment/Engineer with the BHP Port & Rail team, managing multidisciplinary environmental permitting efforts in North America. Prior roles include Department Head of Biological Services at Keystone Environmental, Regional Director and Senior Project Manager at Hemmera, and Project Implementations Team Leader at SYLVIS Environmental, where Ashley oversaw multiple environmental projects and led teams to optimize project outcomes. Ashley's educational background includes a BSc in Biology from the University of Victoria and a Certificate in Project Management, Strategic Leadership from The University of British Columbia.
