Bonny Shaba

Bonny Shaba has extensive experience in the mining industry, currently serving as Mine Manager at BHP Billiton since November 2013, overseeing open cast operations, demobilisation, mining rights, and surface infrastructure. Prior to this role, Bonny held the position of Production Manager at BHP Billiton and worked as Section Manager at Anglo American, focusing on health, safety, environment, and community management on the Lowall operation. Bonny's earlier experience includes serving as Mine Overseer at Kriel Colliery. An academic background includes a B-Tech in Mining from the University of Johannesburg and a Matric with a focus on Physical Sciences and Mathematics from Lehlaga Secondary.
