Brandon Lang is a seasoned GIS professional with extensive experience in the mining and exploration sectors. Currently serving as a GIS Specialist at BHP since January 2020, Brandon assists BMA Coal assets with diverse GIS requirements including compliance, environmental mapping, landholder mapping, and tenement applications. Prior to BHP, Brandon worked at Peabody Energy as a GIS Geologist from July 2012 to January 2020, where responsibilities included geological modeling, statutory report preparation, and identification of exploration opportunities. Brandon began a career in the field at RMG Ltd. as a Project Geologist and held a GIS Technician position at Vale, focusing on the creation and maintenance of GIS datasets and professional mapping products. Brandon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in GIS, Earth Science, and Environmental Planning from The University of Waikato.
