Louisa Barden

Louisa Barden is currently serving as Mill Manager at BHP since March 2024, following a tenure as Quarry Manager at GOLD FIELDS from September 2023 to February 2024. Prior experience at BHP includes roles as Mine Manager and Site Senior Executive where Louisa focused on operational mine plans and drove diversity and inclusion initiatives. Additional responsibilities involved financial management and strategic planning as Principal Planner for Northern Operations. Louisa has demonstrated strong leadership in various roles, including Acting Mine Manager, Production Superintendent, and Technical Services Superintendent, effectively managing teams and enhancing operational processes. Louisa began their career as a Project Geologist at Terra Search Pty. Ltd. after earning a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Geology/Earth Science from the University of Bristol in 2012.
