Maryanne Degenhardt

Maryanne Degenhardt has extensive experience in the mining and geology sectors, currently serving as Superintendent of Exploration and Resource Definition at BHP since April 2021, overseeing strategic drill projects and managing a team of approximately 20 field geologists. Prior to this role, Maryanne held various positions at KCGM from July 2015 to March 2021, including Senior Mine Geologist and Project Mine Geologist, where responsibilities included the management of field geologists, planning activities, and improving geological modeling processes. Earlier experience includes roles at Newmont Mining Corporation from March 2008 to June 2015, focusing on underground project geology, geological interpretations, and safety leadership. Maryanne holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geology/Earth Science from Federation University Australia.
