Matthew Briton-Jones

Matthew Briton-Jones is an experienced environmental professional with a strong background in environmental management and compliance. Currently serving as Superintendent Environment at BHP since September 2021, Matthew previously held the role of Principal Environment at ResourceCo from June 2017 to September 2021, where responsibilities included overseeing compliance across seven South Australian sites and supporting three Victorian sites. Prior experience includes working as Environment & Radiation Officer at Heathgate Resources Pty Ltd, focusing on radiation and dust monitoring at the Beverley Uranium Mine, and serving as Environmental Advisor/Project Manager at Jacobs, managing offshore marine monitoring projects. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from Flinders University, obtained in 2012.
