Thiago Oliveira

Thiago Oliveira is a global technical leader in exploration, economic geology, and mineral economics with extensive international experience. They have worked in full cycle base metals exploration, leading teams in diverse regions including South America and Australia, and have been integral in significant discoveries such as Oak Dam in South Australia. Thiago's expertise encompasses porphyry- and IOCG-style deposits, and they maintain a deep understanding of mineral systems applications in exploration. Currently, they are pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) in Geology while holding a managerial position at BHP, where they lead the Generative team focused on copper and nickel opportunities in Europe and Africa.
