Chris Scholten is a seasoned Loss Control and Risk Management Consultant at BHS Insurance since January 2019, with previous experience in various safety and health roles. Prior positions include Assistant Occupational Safety/Health Manager at Michigan Turkey Producers, where responsibilities included managing compliance with health and safety regulations and conducting incident investigations. Scholten also served as a Safety Coordinator at Johnson Controls, ensuring compliance through safety orientations, and as an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist at Benteler Automotive, managing health and safety along with environmental compliance. Additional roles include Safety Specialist at SpartanNash, where quarterly audits and safety procedure revisions were conducted, and internships at Magna Donnelly and Herman Miller focusing on safety assessments and database organization. Scholten holds a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety from Grand Valley State University.
