Head Of Operations at Bhutan Power Corporation

Karma Tenzin has a diverse work experience in the power sector. Karma started their career in 2002 with Bhutan Power Corporation as a Junior Engineer, and gradually progressed to roles such as Substation Head, Project Engineer, and Associate Project Engineer. In 2021, they joined the 132/33 kV hybrid, Phuntshothang substation as the Head of Operations, where they served for two years. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Operations in Bhutan Power Corporation, starting from 2023.

Karma Tenzin started their education at Jakar High School in 1995 and completed their higher secondary education in 1999. Karma then attended the Royal Bhutan Institute of Technology from 1999 to 2002, where they obtained a Higher National Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Later, they pursued an Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering at the Challenger Institute of Technology in Perth, Western Australia from 2012 to 2013.
