Diogo Magalhães

Diogo Magalhães, MD, BCMAS, currently serves as the Global Director of Medical Affairs at BIAL, focusing on therapeutic areas including CNS, respiratory, cardiometabolic, and psychiatry across Europe. With a robust background in medical affairs, Diogo has held various leadership roles such as Head of Global Medical Affairs and Global Medical Affairs Manager, primarily concentrating on Parkinson’s Disease. Additional responsibilities include pre- and post-launch medical strategy, collaboration with European affiliates, real-world evidence initiatives, and medical education. Diogo's academic endeavors include serving as an Invited Teaching Assistant in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics at Universidade do Porto and conducting research within the Department of Biomedicine. Currently pursuing a PhD in Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology and Toxicology at the same university, Diogo also has experience in organizing medical conferences and workshops for students.
