Alexander Petrov has diverse work experience in the field of finance and business management. Alexander started their career at PwC Russia in 2002 as a Consultant and later became a Senior Consultant. In 2006, they joined JSC SiburTyumenGas where they initially served as the Head of Economic Department and then became the CFO. In 2008, Alexander Petrov joined SIBUR as the CFO of a Business Unit, and later took on the role of Financial Controller. In 2016, they became the Group CFO of SIBUR, and in 2020, they were appointed Head of a Business Unit and Procurement at the company.

Alexander Petrov completed their education with a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Finance University under the Government of the Russian Federation in 2003. Alexander then pursued an Executive development program at Moscow School of Management Skolkovo from 2010 to 2011. Later, in 2013-2014, they obtained an MBA for Executives from Insead.
