Luiz Gustavo Bichara

Luiz Gustavo A. S. Bichara serves as a Member of the Comissão de Juristas for the Senado Federal and Supremo Tribunal Federal since April 2022. Luiz is the Managing Partner at Bichara Advogados, responsible for the Tax Law area, a position held since November 2001. In addition, Luiz holds various significant roles, including Special Tax Attorney at OAB/Brasil since January 2013, and President of the Business Council on Legal and Tax Matters at Associação Comercial do Rio de Janeiro since July 2021. Luiz has also been a Counselor at the Catedra da Reitoria de Estudos Arquidiocesanos since October 2021. Previous memberships include key positions in several prestigious associations related to tax and financial law from 2010 to 2014. Luiz's academic credentials include a program at Harvard Law School in 2003 and a degree from Universidade Cândido Mendes earned between 1994 and 1998.
