Gert Timmerman

Gert Timmerman has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Gert started their career at Telkom South Africa in 1990, where they served as a Senior Manager for the Europe CIS & Russia region until 2001. In 2002, they joined BICS as a Senior Product Manager and later became a Regional Manager. From 2007 to 2011, Gert worked as an International Business Manager at BICS. Gert then became the Regional Sales Director for the NORDICS & BALKANS region until 2015. In 2016, Gert was promoted to Head of Sales for Europe Voice at BICS, a position they held until their most recent role as the Head of CloudCom Operations Globally, which started in April 2022.

Gert Timmerman completed their high school education at F H Odendaal from 1982 to 1986. Gert then attended the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Math and Math Statistics. Later, from 1995 to 1997, they pursued further education at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, earning both a Bachelor Honors and a BSC Honors degree in Operations Research.
