Nick Tongson

Nick Tongson currently serves as Vice President of Standards and Publications at BICSI, a position held since September 2025. Prior to this role, Nick was the Director of Standards at AIAA from April 2010 to September 2025, where a significant achievement included drafting a $2.8 million proposal for DARPA to develop standards for on-orbit servicing. Earlier experience includes advisory work in standards and regulatory affairs at EBAA, focusing on strategic planning and regulatory impact analysis, and directing standards initiatives at AAMI, specifically in cardiovascular and active implant fields. Nick holds a Bachelor of Arts in Microbiology from UC San Diego, obtained between 1987 and 1991.
