Steve Walsh

Steve Walsh serves as a Principal Scientist and Project Leader at Bicycle Therapeutics since March 2022, with a focus on medicinal chemistry. Prior roles at the company include Principal Scientist, Associate Principal Scientist, and Senior Scientist in medicinal chemistry. Previously, Steve worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Chemistry and CRUK Cambridge Institute at the University of Cambridge from September 2019 to March 2022, where research centered on developing chemical methodologies for site-selective protein modification and advancing antibody-drug conjugates. An earlier experience includes an industrial placement as a Medicinal Chemist at GSK from August 2013 to August 2014. Steve Walsh earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Biology from the University of Cambridge in 2019 and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology from University College Dublin, completed in 2015.
