Tammy Olson

Senior Director, Head Of Field Medical at Bicycle Therapeutics

Tammy Olson has over 20 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Tammy has held various roles in different companies, starting with their role as a Chief Clinical Pharmacist for the United States Department of Defense from 2001 to 2002. From 2007 to 2008, they worked as a Research Associate at Cerner Corporation. Tammy then transitioned to retail pharmacy, working as a Retail Pharmacist at Dillons Grocery Store from 2001 to 2012.

In 2012, they joined the University of Kansas Medical Center as an Investigational Pharmacist, responsible for coordinating and implementing pharmacy operations related to research. Tammy also served as a Clinical Pharmacist during their time at the medical center, where they evaluated patient drug regimens and provided recommendations based on evidence-based medicine.

Tammy's career then shifted towards the pharmaceutical industry, starting with their role as a Medical Science Liaison in Hematology/Immuno-Oncology for Bristol Myers Squibb from 2014 to 2016. Tammy later became the IMMUNO-ONCOLOGY CLINICAL LIAISON (IOCL) HEMATOLOGY REGIONAL ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, leading a team of Hematology IOCLs and supporting the launch of Multiple Myeloma and Chronic Myeloid Leukemia drugs.

From there, Tammy took on the role of Interim Immuno-Oncology Clinical Liaison (IOCL) National Lead at Bristol Myers Squibb in 2019, overseeing a team of clinical liaisons and regional managers. Tammy then joined TG Therapeutics, Inc. in 2020, first as the National Lead-Regional Medical Liaisons and then as the Advocacy, Grants, CME, and Sponsorship Lead, responsible for spearheading sponsor programs and events.

Currently, Tammy works at Blueprint Medicines since 2022 as the Region Director, Medical Science Liaison, leading a regional team of Medical Liaisons and managing stakeholder relationships. In 2023, they will be joining Bicycle Therapeutics as the Senior Director and Head of Field Medical.

Throughout their career, Tammy has demonstrated strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills, as well as a dedication to improving healthcare standards and developing strategic partnerships to achieve set objectives.

Tammy Olson has pursued their education at two universities. Tammy obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Life Science from Kansas State University. Later, they went on to study at The University of Kansas, where they earned a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree with a focus on Pharmacy.
