Patrick Lim has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within different industries. Patrick began their career in 1986 as a Senior Manager in an auditing and advisory role at a CPA firm. From there, they moved on to become the Senior Manager/Head of Project Finance at the largest Property & Construction listed Group in Malaysia. In 1996, Lim joined a Large Unlisted Malaysian Conglomerate where they held positions as Group CFO/COO/Director for almost eight years. Following this, they worked as an AGM/Director India Projects at a leading KLSE listed Property & Construction Group from 2004 to 2007. Lim then joined a KLSE listed Process Equipment Manufacturer, where they served as FC Italy/CFO N/S America & Canada/General Director/EVP Brazil until 2010. Patrick later joined an SGX listed & Foreign Group as VP Finance & Control/GM Operation from 2011 to 2014. Lim's most recent roles include working as the General Manager at Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad from 2014 to 2018, and as the Managing Director at Bidco Uganda Limited (Wilmar-Bidco JV) from February to October 2019. Currently, Lim is serving as the Deputy to Founder Director/Chief Value Stream Leader at Bidco Africa since November 2019.
Patrick Lim has a degree in Accountancy from the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. Patrick also holds additional certifications, including a Graduate Engineer (Mechanical Engineering) from City & Guilds and German State Certified Business Manager and Engineer from bvt - bundesverband höherer berufe der technik, wirtschaft und gestaltung e.v., all obtained in 2012.
