Ben’s broad understanding of forest management, silviculture and the associated complex grant system enables him to advise clients on how to get the most out of their asset through careful planning, maintenance and improving the resilience of the forest.
As a specialist in forest planning, he also enjoys the operational and problem-solving aspect of forest management and likes being part of a forest’s journey - through harvesting, replanting and establishment of new trees.
Ben is used to accommodating many different objectives in a single forest asset - improved biodiversity and conservation, recreational opportunities and benefits to the local economy - but is also highly focussed on delivering a commercial benefit to the client.
