Julien Frelat has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Julien currently holds the position of Directeur R&D et Innovation (Chief R&D and Innovation Officer) at Bien'ici, starting in March 2023.
Previously, they co-founded and served as the CTIO (Chief Technology Innovation Officer) and later as the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) at Habiteo, a real estate portal for online sales of new apartments. Julien co-founded the company in December 2013 and played a pivotal role in its development until February 2023.
Before that, Julien founded and served as the CEO of InnoveWare Solutions from January 2012 to December 2013. The company provided R&D engineering and game porting services, focusing on the automatic conversion of video games to web apps.
Julien also worked as an R&D Software Engineer at INMOB from June 2013 to October 2013, where they developed various 2D and 3D video game prototypes using Unity 3D.
Julien's earlier experience includes working as an R&D Project Team Leader at Assima from 2006 to 2013, where they were involved in the architecture and development of the cloud-computing Vimago platform, among other responsibilities. Julien also held the position of Most Valuable Professional (MVP) - Client App Dev at Microsoft from October 2009 to September 2010.
Prior to that, they worked as an R&D Software Engineer at WizArt France from 2000 to 2006, developing multilingual software solutions for web, Java, and Oracle Forms applications. Julien also contributed to the development of cross-platform Win32/networking library for Linux and Sun Solaris platforms.
Julien started their career as a Software Engineer at Ecole Militaire de Paris in October 1999, followed by an internship at Laboratoire Informatique de Paris VI for a research project.
Before their professional career, they gained valuable experience through an internship at Eugen Systems, where they developed applications in Delphi and worked on R&D for a software emulator and BASIC interpreter for a barcode device.
Julien Frelat's education history begins with their enrollment at the Institut Universitaire de Technologie d'Orléans from 1994 to 1996. During this time, they pursued a degree in DUT Informatique with a focus on Génie logiciel. Following this, Julien attended the ENSIIE - École Nationale Supérieure d'Informatique pour l'Industrie et l'Entreprise from 1996 to 1999. Here, they obtained an engineering degree, specifically Ingénieur, specializing in Informatique.
