Nicholas M. Johnson

Nicholas M. Johnson, PhD, is a skilled engineer and technology leader with extensive experience in robotic systems and software development. As the Founder and Principal of McKinley Technologies, Nicholas focuses on enhancing development workflows and integrating technologies to improve the capabilities of autonomous systems. In the role of Chief Systems Engineer at OpenJAUS, Nicholas advances communication software for unmanned systems and simplifies the integration of the JAUS standard. With a background that includes leadership positions at MechaSpin and National Instruments, along with research work at the University of Florida, Nicholas brings a strong foundation in electrical engineering and robotics. Educational credentials include a PhD and MS in Electrical Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Florida, combined with a BS in Electrical Engineering from Howard University. Nicholas also serves on the Executive Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas.
