Melissa Diaz Cruz currently serves as the Bilingual Beyond School Walls Coordinator at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta, where responsibilities include coordinating partnerships and onboarding new participants. Previous experience includes a role as a Bilingual Enrollment Specialist, where participant eligibility interviews and mentor-mentee match management were key tasks. Melissa conducted significant research at Rhodes College, focusing on the health impacts of documentation status among Latinx adults. Additional experience encompasses customer service roles and various internships, including supporting homeless individuals and assisting with DACA applications. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Education, and Latinx Studies from Rhodes College.
